The UCSF's Quantitative Imaging (QI) Laboratory focuses on building diagnostic and prognostic prediction models using multi-modality medical imaging. The group focuses on lung, head and neck and brain tumors (adult and pediatric) which present an array of biological challenges. Radiomic and deep learning methods are applied to state-of-the-art images. The team is working closely with medical physicists, machine learning practicioners, radiation oncologists and radiologists to shorten the distance between tumor biology and modern medical imaging.
